A little known fact.

From here.

There was only one thing I wanted to be when I grew up.
Not a model,
a singer,
Or an actress.
I wanted to be a... a STORM CHASER!

I am fascinated by storms.
The idea of following them for a living seemed so exciting...still does( though im sure theres a lot of waiting around involved, and very little money). When I travelled the US I wanted to spend some time in tornado alley...but we never got there. Of course I realise that twisters cause death and destruction to those caught in their path, and they should never be treated lightly. But the amazing power of any storm always pulls me in. I am super excited when I know one is coming, and I hate sleeping through them.I just want to be outside, geting lashed by the wind and rain just to see whats going on! I adore thunder and lightning. As a kid I had a tape which just played the sound of rain and thunder, goodness knows where I got it from, but I loved it (weird kid). Of course, growing up in a country that doesn't have massive storm cells, let alone twisters, meant I had to be satisfied with lightning and water spouts. As far as i'm aware there is no money in storm chasing in New Zealand either. So I became a nurse instead.

The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind, The answer is blowin' in the wind

  1. Thats cool, so much better than wanting to be a movie star, or a model!
We had a thunder and lighting storm in central this weekend - the thunder was so so loud, it echoed all around the hills and kept me awake for ages.
